Negros Occidental provincial government employees may expect to receive a P3,000 anniversary bonus, soon.

Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson yesterday announced that provincial government employees will be receiving their milestone anniversary bonus.

This was the response of Lacson to the request by the Progressive Alliance of Capitol Employees (PACE) to release the milestone anniversary bonus of provincial government employees.

Circular Number 65 of the Department of Budget and Management provides the giving of P3,000 anniversary bonus every five years.

PACE chairman Renelo Lastierre, in his letter to Gov. Lacson, said it was in 2017 when the P3,000 anniversary bonus was granted to Capitol employees, based also on the Sangguniang Panlalawigan resolution number 1024, series of 2017.

Lacson said he sees no problem in granting the P3,000 anniversary bonus.

Lastierre said that only regular, casual and co-terminus employees, including provincial government employees are entitled to the anniversary bonus.

As soon as the amount is ready, we will give it, the governor said.

Lastierre said he is hoping that the amount will be released within this month, in time with the opening of classes.*
