A man tagged as the most wanted personality of Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental, was apprehended at Bredco Port in Bacolod City at about 1 p.m. yesterday.
Norman James Anipan, 40, of Hacienda Lizares in Brgy. Mambagaton, was arrested by combined forces of the Himamaylan Police, Bacolod City Police Station 2, Intel Pocket of the Regional Intelligence Unit, and the Philippine Coast Guard, on the strength of an arrest warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 56 Judge Nilo Sarsaba, for murder.
Sarsaba did not recommend bail for Anipan, who is now detained at the Himamaylan City Police Station.
Police records show that Anipan was tagged as the suspect in the fatal shooting of a man in Himamaylan City in 2011 during a heated argument.
Anipan is also the 20th most wanted personality of Negros Occidental, the police said.*
