It’s still Raymund Tongson and Justine Gatuslao for mayor and vice mayor of Himamaylan City, respectively, in next year’s elections.
This was stressed by Mayor Tongson, in response to claims that his partnership with Vice-Mayor Gatuslao is on the rocks.
“The Tongson-Gatuslao (TOGA) alliance is still strong. And we will seek reelection together as a team under the United Negros Alliance in 2022,” Tongson said yesterday.
Both ran under UNegA during the 2019 elections.
Tongson also said that even Love Negros city councilors are now in alliance with them.
“There is no reason why we should have differences,” he said. “We will just continue to work. People will just see our relationship. We will file our candidacies together for next year’s election,” Tongson said.*
