The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office remains on top of the Unit Performance Evaluation Rating (UPER) among provincial and city police offices in Western Visayas, for the month of May this year.

NOCPPO got a performance rating of 92.69 percent, disclosed acting provincial police director PCol. Leo Pamittan.

The Negros PPO has been consistent in the past several months in being number one in UPER of Police Regional Office 6, police records show.

Pamittan encouraged NOCPPO personnel to continue working with the different peace and order stakeholders, advocacy support groups and local government units in making the province peaceful and orderly.

Two police stations in Negros Occidental were also honored on June 6 at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City for being ranked number one in UPER for the month of May, in the city and municipal categories, respectively.

PLt. Col. Robert Petate received a plaque of recognition after the Silay City Police Station under his command topped the performance evaluation rating among 31 police stations in Negros Occidental.

On the other hand, the Murcia Police Station headed by PCapt. Gerald Muya also topped the UPER among municipal police stations.*
