A junior police non-commissioned officer was found dead yesterday in Brgy. Pilar, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental.
The victim was identified through his wallet, as P/Cpl. Nestor Madelo, 37, a member of the Bacolod City Police Office Station 5, according to a report of the Hinigaran Police Station.
Madelo, a resident of Brgy. Punta Taytay, Bacolod City, according to initial police investigations of Hinigaran police, succumbed to a big injury in the left side of his face, and had other minor injuries.
The lifeless body of Madelo was found by former tanod Filimon Pacaonces along a sugarcane plantation road at Bangga Acas in Brgy. Pilar, Hinigaran, wearing only shorts.
P/Capt. Christopher Masangkay, Police Station 5 chief, disclosed that Madelo is assigned as the police station investigator for more than two years now.
The Hinigaran Police Station is still investigating the death of Madelo.*
