One of the most awaited events in celebration of the 43rd MassKara Festival is the match between the University of Santo Tomas and the Ateneo women’s volleyball squads at the University of St. La Salle Coliseum in Bacolod City, scheduled for October 9.
Tickets are running out fast considering that this is the first time that the UST Tigresses will face off with Ateneo’s Blue Eagles since their epic showdown during the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) 2019 women’s volleyball championship match, organizer Bea Tan said. Ateneo won in three games against UST in that match.
“Everyone is very excited to see two UAAP teams to headline the event for the MassKara Festival,” Tan said, adding that “this is a must-see game” for volleyball enthusiasts and fans in Bacolod and Negros.
Faith Nisperos, Vanie Gandler, AC Miner, Joan Narit, Taks Fujimoto and libero Roma Mae Doromal will banner the Ateneo team while Eya Laure, Imee Hernandez, Ysa Jimenez, Ypril Tapia, Maji Mangulabnan and Libero Det Pepito will lead the UST growling tigers.
Preliminary matches for boys and girls in the under-16 categories and the mens and womens open will be played before the main event that will start at 5:00 PM.
The tournament is presented by Balik Yuhum Foundation and organized by Grid Athletic.*
