Vice-President-elect Sara Duterte has invited Bacolod Mayor Evelio “Bing” Leonardia to attend her inaugural ceremony on June 19 in Davao City.
Leonardia received the official invitation from the inaugural committee and has confirmed to them his attendance. “It is such great honor to be in that special event because we believe in the leadership of Vice-President-Elect Sara and my attendance is our way of saying thank you to her for all the attention and support she has showered upon us in Bacolod City,” Leonardia said.
It may be recalled that at the height of the COVID-19 crisis, the Vice President-elect personally donated an RT-PCR machine worth P5 million to Bacolod. Likewise, she facilitated the P20 million TUPAD assistance from the Department of Labor and Employment which benefited thousands of Bacolodnons.
“We have so much to be grateful to her and at the same time, I thank her for the privilege of witnessing this historic inauguration in Davao City,” Leonardia further said.*
