5 drug suspects nabbed

Five more drug suspects were arrested by the police in a series of buy-bust operations on March 29 in Negros Occidental, including highly-urbanized Bacolod City, yielding about P100,000 worth of suspected shabu.

The buy-bust operation of the Drug Enforcement Team of Police Station 8 led by PMaj. Joery Puerto led to the arrest of Mark Anthony Evidente at Purok Kaingin in Brgy. Singcang Airport, Bacolod City.

The apprehension of Evidente yielded about six grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P40,800 and P200 in marked money, Puerto said in his report to the Bacolod City Police Office.

Two other drug suspects identified by the police as Anthony Tutor, alias Diotay, and Elmerex Piano,alias Busog, were nabbed by the police in another buy-bust operation also on Tuesday in Brgy. Hilamonan, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.

Their arrests also led to the confiscation of an estimated three grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P20,400, drug paraphernalia, P100 in marked money and P1,243 in cash, police said.

Two more drug suspects identified as Michael Telequido and Adonis Nixon Pabon were both apprehended by the police in separate buy-bust operations in cities of Talisay and Sipalay, respectively.

An estimated two grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P13,600, marked money of P500 and P402 in cash were recovered from Telequido during his arrest at Purok Mahinangpanon in Brgy. Zone 4-A, Talisay City.

On the other hand, the apprehension of Pabon, alias Benben, at Purok 4 in Brgy. 2, Talisay City, yielded three sachets of suspected shabu worth P3,400, marked money of P500 and a Seiko wrist watch, police records show.*
