Bacolod Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran, chair of the city’s IATF, who represented Mayor Evelio Leonardia, and Emergency Operations Center (EOC)-Task Force executive director Em Ang, received the officials of the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD)-Western Visayas Regional Incident Management Team (RIMT) headed by incident commander Engr. Joseph Paul Nogra, at the Bacolod City Government Center yesterday.
They discussed security preparations for the Undas Season from October 29 to November 2, the enhanced implementation of the city’s vaccination program, and the ongoing voters’ registration of the Comelec.
Joining the meeting are other RIMT officials including Lt. Col. Louie Barrientos of Police Regional Office-6, FO3 Alle Ssan Jovero of BFP-6, MSgt Joemarie Hervias of the Philippine Army, Cindy Ferrer, Ma. Jemaimah Anne Isubal, and Aljohn Torreta from OCD-6, David Patilla of DSWD-6, and Nouie Soco of CGDWV.
Present from the city government are OIC-City Health Officer Dr. Edwin Miraflor Jr. and EOC-TF Deputy for Medical Dr. Anna Maria Laarni Pornan, who also heads the DRRMO.
Both Familiaran and Ang shared to RIMT officials that the city government has adopted various initiatives to beef up the city’s vaccination campaign such as the mobile vaccination using VAX-i buses, drive-thru vaccination, 24/7 vaccination, graveyard shift (night-time) and on-site vaccination for BPO companies, vaccination in barangays and malls, house-to-house vaccination, and the vaccination of minors aged 12 to 17 years old.*
