The Emergency Operations Center-Task Force and the Covid-19 Vaccination Council, both chaired by Mayor Evelio Leonardia, resumed yesterday the barangay vaccine rollout for Bacolod residents, who are frontline healthcare workers, senior citizens, and adults with comorbidities.
There are 26 vaccination centers in selected barangays and clustered barangays that will operate on June 14 to 17, and June 21 to 23, a press release from the city said.
One of the centers was at Andres Bonifacio Elementary School in Barangay 4 that opened yesterday and catered to residents at San Juan Street, encompassing several barangays.
The other two vaccination centers that opened yesterday were in barangays Granada and Handumanan.
Today, the vaccination rollout will be held in barangays Alangilan, Banago, Mansilingan, Montevista, and Pahanocoy, the city said.
The vaccines being rolled out this week are part of the 17,000 additional doses of Sinovac vaccine from the national government.
The rollout is being supervised by City Administrator Em Ang, executive director of EOC and coordinator of CoVaC, and OIC-City Health Officer, Dr. Edwin Miraflor Jr., with the assistance of vaccination doctors and barangay officials, the press release added.*
