A P5 million, three-storey police headquarters of the Bacolod City Police Office Station 5, will soon rise in Barangay Granada, Bacolod City.
This was after a deed of donation for the 500 square-meter lot was signed yesterday by Michael Bantug of the Bantug Real Estate Development Corporation, who donated the property, and the Philippine National Police, represented by Col. Manuel Placido, officer-in-charge of the BCPO.
Lt. Col. Ariel Pico, BCPO spokesman, said yesterday that the Department of Interior and Local Government has allocated P5 million for the construction of the new police station.
Pico said construction is expected to start next year, as soon as required documents are completed. The signing of the deed of donation was witnessed by P/Lt. Melchor Tolentino, Police Station 5 chief, Maj. Sherlock Gabana, Capt. John Masangkay, Brgy. Granada chairman Alfredo Talimodao, and Alangilan Brgy. Capt. Degie Tanista Sr.*
