All COVID-19 positive dialysis patients will be referred to the Bacolod Queen of Mercy Hospital under a public–private initiative with the Bacolod City government, Dr. Evangeline Johnson, BQMH chairman, said yesterday.

Bacolod City Administrator Em Ang met with BQMH officials, led by Johnson, yesterday to discuss increasing the capacity of its COVID-19 isolation facility and establishing an isolation dialysis unit.

Johnson said the hospital will allocate six dialysis machines for COVID patients.

At 18 sessions per day, they can cater to up to 54 COVID-19 positive patients a week, she said.*
