The alleged sexual harassment of a woman by an employee of the Negros Occidental provincial government during the recent Panaad sa Negros festival at the Panaad Park in Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City, will be looked into, Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz disclosed yesterday.
Diaz, however maintained that he was not aware of such alleged incident, adding that no complaint had been filed at his office, as of this time.
“Complaints usually come to me, and I am the one who issue a show cause order,” he said.
The Capitol employee was reportedly drunk when the alleged sexual harassment took place.
If a complaint is filed, Diaz said they will investigate the claims, stressing that the provincial government has no “sacred cows.”
There were also reports of previous misbehavior committed by the Capitol employee involved. However, no complaints were filed against him.
Under the administration of Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson, several Capitol employees, department heads included, have been dismissed from government service for grave misconduct, among other grave offenses.*
