Operatives of the Bacolod Police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency confiscated P163,800 worth of suspected shabu from seven drug suspects they arrested in Barangays Estefania, Banago and Mansilingan in three days of extensive operations.
Station 4 commander, P/Major Jun Ray Batadlan reported that they arrested Dharyl Navarro, in a drug buy-bust operation at about 3 a.m. yesterday in Purok Villa Angeles, Brgy. Estefania Navarro, 27, of Prk Arao in Brgy Vista Allegre in the City was apprehended after receiving P500 in marked money from a police-poseur buyer, Batadlan said.
Policemen recovered two sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 5.1 grams with an estimated market value of P34,680 from Navarro during his arrest, he said.
On Tuesday, Station 7 policemen arrested Reynaldo Gracilla, “alias Chiboy”, 45, of Purok Kabugwason in Brgy. Mansilingan during a buy-bust operation in the area at about 6 p.m. Four sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 7 grams and valued at P 47,600 were recovered during the arrest of Gracilla, who is considered a high-value target, the police said.
An improvised tooter and the P500 marked money were also recovered from the suspect. Navarro and Gracilla are both detained at the lock-u cells of Police stations 4 and 7, respectively, while charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2005 will be filed against them.
PDEA-Western Visayas and Police Station 3, dismantled an alleged drug den and in Purok Langis, Barangay Banago at about 5:30 p.m and this resulted in the arrest of alleged drug den maintainer Val Demafiles,Paul Dasuyo, John Mark Limson, Jomar Parar and Felix Albarico, all residents of the city.
Reports said they were arrested after one of them sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a police undercover. Police recovered sachets of suspected shabu weighing 12 grams with an estimated market value of P81,600 during the arrest.*
