Ride-hailing and on-demand food-delivery app Grab Philippines, which has provided livelihood opportunities to thousands of Negrenses, is offering more services to better serve the people of Bacolod City.
Arvi Lopez, Grab Country PR head, yesterday said their goal is to make everyone’s life better through Grab especially with a big event like the MassKara Festival which they believe is so important to the people of Bacolod.
Jocelyn Ann Yoshida, Grab regional operations manager for Western Visayas, said they currently have about 150 Grab car drivers and will be adding 50 more this year. They also hope to add about another 200 drivers next year with the help of the local government, as everything returns to normal.
Yoshida said they also have more than 300 Grab food drivers and almost 1,000 merchant partners. Their food delivery services were slightly affected when people started going out.
Their food delivery has become a lifestyle at the height of the COVID pandemic. But students attending face-to-face classes continue to order food from their favorite restaurants using their food-delivery app until now, she said.
Aside from Grab Taxi, Grab Car, Grab Food, they also provide groceries and package delivery, concierge (pabili) and other services, Yoshida said.
They are also promoting their Grab Mart, which has SM, Robinsons Supermart, All Day Supermart, and they are hopeful other grocery stores will follow, she said, adding that they are also inviting stores that sell dog food, pharmacies, hardware and other essential services.
“Our goal is to continue to optimize our services to better serve the needs of our consumers, the drivers, as well as their merchant partners,” Lopez said.*
