The City Health Office and Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office of Kabankalan City in Negros Occidental, will be open 24 hours/7 days a week, starting 4 p.m. today.

This was in compliance with the executive order issued by Mayor Benjie Miranda, that also requires the setting up of a Help Desk at the Kabankalan City Hall, open 24 hours a day, to cater to emergencies, especially during night time.

In a statement, Miranda said that the City Mayor’s Office, aside from the police and Bureau of Fire and Protection offices, CDRRMO and CHO, will also be opened 24 hours.

On Sept. 5, Miranda also distributed P10,000 financial assistance to seven women in Kabankalan City suffering from breast ovarian cancer, with the assistance taken from the Gender and Development Budget, through the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

Seven families of Overseas Filipino Workers in Kabankalan City also availed of P50,000 each, through the Balik Probinsya Bagong Pag-asa 2 program of DSWD.*
