Five personnel of the Bacolod City Police Office were honored during the closing ceremony of the 27th Police Community Relations Month with a theme “Ugnayang Pulisya at Komunidad Tungo sa Mapayapa, Maayos at Maunlad na Pamayanan,” which was held at the Bacolod City headquarters.
PCol. Thomas Joseph Martir, BCPO director, led the celebration and distribution of awards to outstanding police personnel.
The awardees were PLt. Col. Sherlock Gabana, chief of the Community Affairs and Development Unit; and his deputy, PLt. Liberty Indiape; PCapt. Elmer Bonilla, Police Station 7 commander; PCpl. Gladys Mansinares of Bacolod City Mobile Force Company and PLt. John Christopher Masangkay, Police Station 5 commander.
Martir, who congratulated the awardees, encouraged BCPO personnel to do more in the bringing the police closer to the people.
He added that BCPO will continue to work with various stakeholders in making Bacolod City a safe and better place to live.
Martir also said that the recent Bike for a Cause, gift-giving and children’s fun fares, bloodletting, refresher seminars for force multipliers and basic life support training, were among the significant accomplishments of BCPO in this year’s celebration.
As the partnership with local government agencies, non-government organization and other generous stakeholders strengthens, the BCPO hopes for more vigorous and attainable undertakings not only during the PCR Month but in all regular endeavors of the PNP with the community, he added.*
