The arrest of six drug suspects on March 1 and 2, in separate buy bust operations in highly urbanized Bacolod City and two other component cities in Negros Occidental, yielded an estimated P737,686 worth of suspected shabu, according to police.
Operatives of the Drug Enforcement Unit led by PCapt. Joven Mogato, arrested a drug suspect identified as Jennifer Abitong on March 1 at Purok Riverside in Brgy. Bata, Bacolod City.
In a statement, PCol. Thomas Joseph Martir, director of the Bacolod City Police Office, disclosed that the apprehension of Abitong, 44, yielded more or less 25 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P170,000.
Policemen have also nabbed Herfrance Tuhao and Jizelle Ko in another buy bust operation on March 1, in Hacienda Santa Ana, Brgy. Palampas San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
The arrest of Tuhao, 21, and Ko, 18, yielded 63.51 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P431,868, and marked money of P1,000, said a report of the San Carlos City Police Station that was submitted to the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office.
Three more drug suspects identified by the police as Jerry Magallanes, Loremae Combate, and Daniel Isuga, were also collared by the police during a buy bust operation on Wednesday at Zone 5 in Brgy. 6, Victorias City.
The police recovered an estimated 20 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P136,000, marked money of P500, and P250 in cash, during the buy bust operation.*
