A marijuana plantation was discovered yesterday by the police, following the arrest of two alleged cultivators at Sitio Handalago, Brgy. Nataban, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
Nabbed for allegedly conspiring in the cultivation of marijuana plants were identified by the police as Armando Quejado, 27, and Peter Loar, 30, both categorized as Street Level Individual drug personalities and farmer residents of the place.
The joint operation of the San Carlos City Police Station led by PLt. Col. Jesus Mesahon, assisted by Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 6, 605th Regional Mobile Force Company, Regional Intelligence Division 6, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company and Maritime Command, led to the discovery and uprooting of 57 fully grown marijuana plants with an estimated market value of P240,000.
A buy-bust operation also led yesterday to the arrest of four drug suspects and the seizure of P170,000 worth of suspected shabu at Purok Narra in Brgy. Handumanan, Bacolod City.
Arrested by operatives of the Bacolod City Police Office Drug Enforcement Unit were Joseph Espirito, Rio John Diwatin, Cesar Espirito and Rose Anne Bachoco.
The apprehension of the four drug suspects yielded 25 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P170,000 and its paraphernalia, P500 in marked money and P200 in cash.
Another buy-bust operation in Brgy. Taculing, Bacolod City resulted in the arrest of Robiemel Gabuelo, alias Tata, and the confiscation of an estimated five grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P34,000, marked money of P500 and P300 in cash.*
