The Social Security System said it released the second batch of January 2021 pensions since Friday, through the Philippine Electronic Fund Transfer System and Operations Network (PESONet) and other checkless disbursement channels.
Pensioners covered by the batch are those whose date of contingency is from the 16th to the last day of the month and are receiving their pensions through PESONet participating banks or e-wallets, or via cash pick-up arrangement at M Lhuillier thru DBP Cash Padala, it said in a press release.
The second batch of pension releases covers nearly 1.12 million pensioners with combined pensions amounting to P5.19 billion.
Pensioners who are still receiving their pensions through checks or non-PESONet participating banks will receive their January pensions on their date of contingency under the old disbursement schedule, the press release added.*
