Suspension of two officials at Capitol ends Monday: PLO

Provincial Budget Officer Jose Percival Salado Jr. and Mambukal Resort head Ellen Marie Jalandoni will be reinstated Monday after the lapse of their 60-day preventive suspensions, Provincial Legal Officer Alberto Nellas Jr. said yesterday.

Nellas said the investigation of both their cases have yet to be resolved.

Salado has opted for a hearing of the allegations against him while Jalandoni has submitted a position paper.

Both have denied the allegations against them in show cause orders issued to them.

Five other Capitol employees – Ma. Mina Pellejo, former Negros Occidental Comprehensive Health Program Division officer-in-charge, and lawyers Roxenne Sumanting, Ernie Magaspag and Ariel Cuaycong, and bookkeeper 3 Warlito Butalon of the Provincial Legal Office, are still under preventive suspension pending the resolution of investigations against them.

All five have denied the allegations against them.

Pellejo, Sumanting and Cuaycong have elected for formal hearings, Butalon submitted a position paper, while Magaspag has not submitted an answer, Nellas said.*
