‘Tukib’ presents new artists

Twenty-one visual artists from Iloilo and Negros Occidental are showcasing their talents in an ongoing group exhibit at the Uyso Lutong Bahay Restaurant along San Juan-San Sebastian streets, Bacolod City, which runs from August 13 to September 13.

The guest of honor at the opening was Bacolod Councilor Israel Salanga.

Titled “Tukib”, the show features the works of Jeck Alano, Marcelo “Jecky” Alano, Norman Vincent and John Ernie Acedera, Luis Rabut IV, Ronnie Granja, Smart Garbo, Lloyd Develos, Vincent Gener, Salvacion Jumawan, Tina De Jose, Gene Clifton Belza, Dan Gatucao, Luis Gabrielle Regonel, Jiro Ignacio, Reven John Emolaga, Eduardo Osorio Jr., Elaishan James Sodusta, Zaldy Sendon, Boy Fernandez and Rolando Inso.

Visual artist/organizer Jeck Alano said the title “Tukib” or discovery implies the discovery of new talents and new strokes by the artists using different medium. Some of the participating artists are from Capiz, San Carlos, Valladolid, Bacolod and other areas in Negros Occidental.*
