A multiple vehicle collision on Wednesday in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, claimed the life of a motorcycle driver and causing injuries to two others, police reported.

Motorcycle driver Arlo Galleron was reported by the police to have been declared dead on arrival at the Cadiz City Emergency Clinic, as a result of the vehicular collision that involved two trucks, two motorcycles and a passenger tricycle.

Investigations of the Cadiz City police showed that a dump truck driven by Joseph Coniendo hit the cargo truck driven by Arturo Pateno, which was running ahead of him at Crossing Bag-ong Dalan in Brgy. Cabahug, Cadiz City.

The dump truck also hit two motorcycles that were both running in the opposite direction, while the cargo truck bumped a Kawasaki tricycle parked along the road, police investigations further showed.

The multiple vehicle collision also caused the injuries to motorcycle driver Roger Decanay and Pateno, a report of the Cadiz City police said.

The damage to vehicles involved in the incident is still being determined by the Cadiz City police, as of press time.*
