Policemen have seized a kilo of suspected shabu with a market value of P6.8 million on Sunday night from a drug suspect who was arrested during a buy-bust operation at Purok Kawayan in Brgy. Banago, Bacolod City.
Nabbed by operatives of the Bacolod City Police Office Drug Enforcement Unit of the Bacolod City Police Office, was Napoleon Begasa III, alias Toto, whom they categorized as a High Value Individual drug suspect, according to spokesman PLt. Col. Sherlock Gabana.
Aside from shabu, Gabana said P3,000 in marked money and P1,200 in cash were also recovered.
Begasa, 30, is now detained at the Police Station 3 custodial facility.
On June 3, BCPO operatives also seized about 300 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P2.1 million from three drug suspects who were apprehended during a buy-bust operation at Rosario Heights Subdivision in Brgy. Taculing, Bacolod City.
Four other drug suspects were also separately nabbed by the police in series of buy-bust operations in Negros Occidental which yielded P76,800 worth of suspected shabu and its paraphernalia.
Nabbed in Cadiz City, was Emerson Alparito, while arrested by the police in San Carlos City, were Rene Egloria and Harold dela Fuente, as well as Archie Villanueva in Talisay City, a report from the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office said.*
