Lawyer Salvador Panelo will be the guest of honor and speaker during the Independence Day celebration in Bacolod City on June 12, Bacolod Councilor Renecito Novero said.
Panelo was the former chief legal counsel of President Rodrigo Duterte.
Bacolod Councilor Renecito Novero said a meeting was held Monday to discuss preparations for the Independence Day celebration on June 12, Charter Day on June 18 and Rizal Day on June 19.
Novero said the Independence Day celebration will be held at the Bacolod City Public Plaza, the Charter Day celebration at the lobby of the Bacolod City Government Center, and Rizal Day at the Rizal Elementary School.
Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia will deliver his message during the Charter Day program that will include the giving of recognition and award to top business taxpayers, as well as outstanding employees of the city government, he said.
Novero said they are yet to find a guest speaker for the Charter Day celebration on June 18.*
