The Bacolod City Police Office got more 10 units of brand-new patrol vehicles, as part of the PNP’s Capability Enhancement Program
Lt. Col. Arnel Solis, spokesperson of the Police Regional Office 6, yesterday said that the 10 single cab 4×2 Toyota Hi-Lux vehicles were among the 30 units of patrol cars received by PRO6 from Camp Crame.
Solis said that the Iloilo City Police Office got a share of six units, four for the Iloilo Police Provincial Office, three each for Antique and Capiz Police Provincial Offices, and two each for Aklan and Guimaras PPOs.
These assets will add the police capability in terms of visibility patrols, response and other anti-criminality efforts, he added.
Brig. Gen. Flynn Dongbo, regional police director of Western Visayas, who had witnessed the blessings of 30 patrol vehicles, reminded the recipients to take good care of their issued police vehicles.
Dongbo also told drivers of the respective patrol vehicles to consider them as their own property, and always ensure that it is well maintained.
“This is a great help for us in attaining our mission, a safer Western Visayas to live, work and do business”, he added.
Last month, the BCPO under the leadership of P/Col. Joseph Thomas Martir also received a similar vehicle, which was issued to its BCPO Mobile Force Company.*
