An 11-foot reticulated python (Malayopython reticulatus) was captured and turned-over to DENR-PENRO Negros Occidental by Reniel Turno and Jonel Mosni, both residents of Purok Sampaguita, Brgy. Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City.

The reticulated python is classified as other threatened species under the Department Administrative Order (DAO) 2019-09 otherwise known as “Updated National List of Threatened Philippine Fauna” and their categories is under threat from adverse factors such as over collection throughout its range and destruction of their habitats.
