Freebies, cartoons and balloons welcomed kids and parents at the Bacolod Queen of Mercy Hospital during the launching of the nationwide vaccination for children aged 5-11 years old yesterday.
Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia and EOC-TF Executive Director Em Ang took part in the event together with BQMH president Dr. Lucho Giovanni Giron and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) head Dr. Laarni Pornan.
City Health Office OIC Dr. Edwin Miraflor, Jr. and Cold Room staff received 1,000 vials or 10, 000 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines Saturday.
Ang said the EOC-TF is eyeing to administer 5,000 Covid-19 jabs in Week One of the vaccination drive.
Meanwhile, EOC-TF deputy for medical, data analysis and management Dr. Chris Sorongon spearheaded the vax drive at Riverside Medical Center.
