An investigation is underway to identify the culprits behind the robbery with rape case in Brgy. Villamonte, Bacolod City recently, Station 4 chief, P/Major Jun Ray Batadlan said yesterday.
Batadlan said they hope to find witnesses who could possibly shed light on the identities of the men, who reportedly robbed and raped a resident in Villamonte on July 20.
The victim, 28, whose name the police withheld, claimed that the two men entered her rented place at about 3 a.m., and one of them threatened her with a knife and raped her.
She said the men took some of her belongings and even threatened to hurt her son.
The victim claimed that before leaving, the men told her they did the crime at the behest of someone.
She described the men to be between 18 to 19 years old.
Meanwhile, P81,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized by members of the Bacolod City Drug Enforcement Unit from a street level individual they arrested at about 8:20 p.m. Friday at Gatuslao Street in Bacolod City.
P/Major Sherlock Gabana, BCPO spokesperson, identified the one arrested as Obrien Dela Fuente, 31, of Purok Nami-Nami in Brgy. Banago, Bacolod.
Gabana said Dela Fuente was apprehended after he handed a sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer for P500.
Confiscated from him were five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu, with an estimated weight of 12 grams, police records showed.*
