The reduction or lifting of curfew hours in Negros Occidental is now being entertained by Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson, following lifting of curfew hours in Metro Manila which is now on Alert Level 2.
While they are considering it, Lacson said he will consult with the mayors of Negros Occidental, which has remained on Alert Level 2 since last month.
The curfew hours imposed on the 31 cities and municipalities in Negros Occidental is 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. the next day, with 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. in highly urbanized Bacolod City.
“If majority of the chief executives are in favor of it, we may shorten the curfew hours or totally stop its imposition,” he said.
Lacson said he will issue a pertinent executive order on the matter.
On the other hand, the provincial government of Negros Occidental yesterday received 59,670 doses more of Pfizer and 45,300 doses of AstraZeneca from the national government.
The highly urbanized Bacolod City also got 12,870 doses of Pfizer and 9,600 doses of AstraZeneca, which arrived yesterday at the Bacolod-Silay Airport.*
