Former councilor Caesar Distrito was appointed as new member of the Bacolod City College Board of Trustees, representing the professional sector, effective December 1.
In Executive Order no. 75, Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia said Distrito will attend the meetings of the college governing board to tackle the agenda related to their respective representation.
Distrito, a former three-term Bacolod councilor and a lawyer by profession, welcomed the appointment.
Distrito had been in the academe in the last 20 years as a teacher at the University of St. La Salle, STI-West Negros University, and at the training school of the Philippine National Police in Bacolod.
He is a product of public institutions, being an alumnus of the Education Training Center School II and of Negros Occidental High School. Distrito said he would like to be an instrument for poor but dedicated and deserving students in getting quality education at BCC.*
