Eight persons were brought to a hospital when an ambulance, that was transporting a hit-and-run patient, and a jeepney figured in an accident at Hernaez-Lacson streets in Bacolod City, last night.

Injured were four persons on the ambulance, the jeepney driver, and his three passengers, Jomarie Vargas, head of the Bacolod Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, said, adding that they were all brought to the Bacolod Adventist Medical Center.

Vargas said the ambulance came from Sagay City in Negros Occidental.

At Station 1, the driver of the jeepney, Johnny Bello, 27, of Escalante City in Negros Occidental, told the media he did not hear the siren of the ambulance.

He said he had five passengers when the accident happened.
