A gun was seized from a co-owner of a vulcanizing shop, who was unruly and creating alarm and scandal, in Purok Maanyag Uno, Barangay Alijis in Bacolod City, at about 10 a.m. yesterday.
Edmark Gallego, 31, of Barangay Alijis, was observed to be under the influence of liquor and created alarm and scandalous act, shouting and threatening bystanders with a gun, P/Lt. Florentino Abalayan Jr., Station 7 chief, said.
Station 7 personnel and Barangay Alijis tanods nabbed Gallego and recovered from him a .22 Magnum Black Widow revolver without serial number and loaded with three live ammunition, police records show.
Abalayan said Gallego failed to present any firearm document, and is now detained at the custodial facility of Station 7. He may face charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.*
