Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson formally opened the group art exhibition of the Art Association of Bacolod-Negros (AAB-N) at the Balay Kalamay at Panaad Park and Stadium in Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City Wednesday.
The show, titled “Sa Balay Kalamay”, was held during the Tourism Officer’s Night, also in the same venue, as part of the activities of the 27th Panaad Sa Negros Festival celebration.
AAB-N, the second oldest art association in the country, next to the Art Association of the Philippines, will be celebrating its 50th founding anniversary in 2025.





Founded by Edgardo “Budot” Lizares, AAB-N is also holding another group art exhibition at the Bacolod Pavilion at the Panaad Park titled ” Sa Veranda” during the weeklong Panaad sa Negros celebration which will culminate on April 23.
Beside the AAB-N exhibit is the “Flora Botanica” garden of visual artist Doreen Dofitas of the United Negrense Artists Alliance, Inc. (UNA).
UNA is also holding a separate art exhibition at the Bacolod Pavilion grounds, together with the Mixlada Art Group as part of the Panaad sa Negros Festival.*
