Tourism and travel advocate Toots Jimenez Jr. was recently appointed as member of the Board of Trustees of the Tourism Congress Philippines (TCP), a press release from TCP said.
TCP is the private consultative body in developing and implementing tourism policies in the country. In its recent election, Bob Zozobrado was elected president.
Zozobrado informed Jimenez of the unanimous vote of the newly-elected Trustees appointing him as Trustee of TCP representing the M.I.C.E. sector of the Visayas regions.
Jimenez has been involved actively in tourism and travel being a hotel manager, tourism services consultant, M.I.C.E. organizer, travel photojournalist and a PR figure. He is presently the vice-president of Sports Tourism Alliance Inc., executive director of the Philippine Sports Tourism Awards and Sports Tourism Forums in the country.
Along with the other TCP elected and appointed trustees, their oath-taking is set with DOT Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco at the DOT office in Makati City.*
