A man arrested in a buy-bust operation in Purok Sigay, Brgy. Zone 5, Talisay City, Negros Occidental Thursday, yielded shabu and an improvised gun with ammunition, the police said.
Nabbed by the Talisay City police was Junjun Iglesias, alias “Wasak”, 28, a fish vendor and a resident of the barangay.
The Talisay police reported that the apprehension of Iglesias yielded a gram of suspected shabu, with a market value of P6,800, and its paraphernalia, an improvised gun with four live ammunition of a 9mm pistol, P500 in marked money, and P500 in cash.
Iglesias, who is now detained, faces charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and RA 10591, or illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.*
