An alleged Yunit Militia member of the New People’s Army, implicated in the murder of a barangay captain, was apprehended by the police on November 17 at Sitio Maalot-alot, in Brgy. San Agustin, Isabela, Negros Occidental.
Nabbed by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by La Carlota Regional Trial Court Judge Mila Yap-Camiso was Winnie Carillo y Carollo, 53, tagged as a rebel militiaman. Facilitating the arrest was a tracker team of Isabela police, assisted by the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, 604th Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 and 62nd Infantry Battalion.
Carillo was implicated in the murder of former San Agustin village chairman Agapito Euraoba in August 10, 2018.
The arrested suspect also ranks sixth among the 10 most wanted persons of Isabela police.
Carillo, who is now locked up in jail, was denied bail by Judge Camiso.*
