The Animal Health Center of the 1st District of Negros Occidental in San Carlos City is now ready for use, after Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson led its inauguration yesterday.
Lacson was assisted by Mayor Renato Gustilo and Board Members Araceli Somosa as well as Romel Debulgado.
The facility, which is supervised by the Provincial Veterinary Office led by Dr. Placeda Lemana, in tandem with the city government of San Carlos, aims to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of animal health care and related services.
The animal health center will cater to the cities of Escalante and San Carlos, and the municipalities of Calatrava, Don Salvador Benedicto and Toboso.
Among the services that will be made available in the animal center are veterinary consultation, medical treatment, deworming, vitamin supplementation, laboratory tests, and surgery-castration.
The PVO also facilitated the distribution of farm inputs and veterinary supplies to identified beneficiaries in the district. A Memorandum of Agreement between the province and the LGUs was also signed to ensure the center’s successful operation, a press statement from the Capitol said.*
