A 21-year-old woman tagged by the police as a shabu supplier, was arrested during a buy-bust operation on November 23 in Purok Mainuswagon in Brgy Sampinit, Bago City, Negros Occidental.
Nabbed during the joint operation of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit, Bago City police and Anti-Illegal Drugs Team of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, was Rica Sharina Ginete, of Purok Mahimayaon, Brgy. Sagwabanwa, Valladolid.
The arrest of Ginete yielded about 70 grams of suspected shabu, with a street market value of P476,000 and marked money amounting to P27,000.
PLt. Col. Joem Malong, Bago City acting police chief, said that Ginete, who is being classified as street level individual drug personality, was reported to have been supplying illegal drugs, not only in Bago City, but also its neighboring areas.
Malong also noted that majority of drug suspects arrested in Bago City, came from other places, who made their illegal transactions in the city.
A day earlier, policemen also arrested Rogelio Sevilla, 46, in another buy-bust operation at Bonifacio St in Brgy. Poblacion, Bago City.
The apprehension of Sevilla also yielded 0.9 gram of suspected shabu, with a market value of P6,120, and P500 in marked money.*
