A Zumba instructor died after being shot yesterday by an unidentified gunman in Brgy. 4, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental, police said.
The victim was identified by the police as Clint James Tomazar, 30, of Brgy, Narawis, Hinigaran.
Tomazar, according to initial police investigations, succumbed to a gunshot wound in the head.
PLt. Col. Necerato Sabando, Hinigaran police chief, disclosed that the victim was about to enter a commercial establishment when he was shot by the gunman, who was trailing him from behind.
Recovered from the scene of incident was an empty shell of a .45 caliber pistol and a cellular phone of the victim, who was declared dead on arrival at the Hinigaran Emergency Clinic.
The gunman fled on board a Yamaha Mio 125 F1 scooter, police said.
The police is looking into personal grudges as among the motives of the shooting incident.*
