Three victims of shooting and stabbing incidents in Negros Occidental, all died over the weekend.
A stabbing incident victim, identified as Dennis Cornelio, was reported by the police to have been declared dead on arrival at a medical facility after he was fatally stabbed yesterday at Hda. Montinola in Brgy. Mansalanao, La Castellana.
The two suspects were identified by the La Castellana police as Willie and Rodgie Hilado, residents of the same hacienda.
Prior to the stabbing incident, the two suspects and their victim had figured in heated arguments.
The stabbing incident took place as the victim was on his way home, who was followed by the two suspects who remain at-large as of press time.
An unidentified person was also found dead yesterday at Purok San Ramon in Brgy. Santa Cruz, Murcia.
The victim, described by witnesses to be in early 20’s, succumbed on what appeared to be gunshot injuries.
Also recovered from the scene of incident were a solar panel and its attachment.
Police probers are investigating if the death of the victim has something to do with the stealing of solar lights in Brgy. Santa Cruz, Murcia.
A 52-year-old laborer identified as Jose Ebien Prado succumbed to a gunshot wound in the head, as reported by the police, after he was allegedly shot by Renante Marfil, a 33-year-old laborer, on June 3 in Brgy. Cabcab, Isabela, Negros Occidental.
Marfil and the victim were engaged in a drinking spree before the shooting incident, according to the Isabela police.
The pursuit operation of the Isabela police led to the arrest of the suspect, and the recovery of a homemade 12-gauge shotgun with two live ammunition, while a spent cartridge was retrieved at the crime scene by responding policemen.*
