A woman and three male victims were reported yesterday to have died, and a minor was also injured, in two shooting incidents, in Isabela and Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
The identities of two victims of a shooting incident that occurred shortly before noon yesterday, at Sitio Galo, Brgy. 5, Isabela, Negros Occidental, were yet to be established by authorities, as of last night.
PCapt. ArJay Darangan, Isabela police chief, said initial investigations showed that the two victims were riding on a motorcycle when they were shot at by the suspects.
Darangan said the two suspects were also traced to have origins from La Castellana.
Both victims were reported by the police to have succumbed to multiple gunshot injuries.
Empty shells of still an undetermined caliber of firearm were recovered by the responding Isabela policemen at the crime scene.
According to witnesses, Darangan said that the victims appeared to unfamiliar with the area, as they asked questions regarding their present location, prior to the incident.
Another shooting incident also took place at about 5:30 p.m. yesterday at Hacienda Ledesma Extension in Brgy. Matab-ang, Talisay City.
The two victims, a woman and her son, who were riding a motorcycle, died on the spot, initial reports said.
An 8-year-old was also injured in the armed attack.*
