The Bacolod City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office has installed almost all 73 CCTV units in Bacolod City, executive assistant Jose Maria Vargas, DRMMO head said yesterday.
Vargas said the objective of the city for the installation of the CCTVs is to monitor flooded areas and vehicular accidents.
The CCTV units cost about P21 million that was taken from the budget of the DRRMO, he said.
The units have been installed in all major streets, inner areas and boundaries of Bacolod City like Mansilingan, Granada and Punta-Taytay, Vargas said.
Their command center is located at the Bacolod City Hall, he added.*
