A barangay tanod, who was reported to have been abducted Tuesday by unidentified armed men, was found dead several hours later in Hacienda Margarita, Brgy. Consing, EB Magalona, Negros Occidental.
The police identified the victim as Elmer Ortencio, of Consing in EB. Magalona. He was reported to have been abducted by a group of armed men in the hacienda at about 3 p.m. Tuesday.
The body of Ortencio, an hacienda overseer, was found in a bamboo plantation several hours later, with a gunshot wound in the head. His wife, Lorena, said Ortencio had gone to the barangay hall of Consing before the incident.*
