Thirty Negros-based visual artists have gathered for a month-long group exhibit at Otsoy’s Bistro in Silay City titled “Duag sang Paghiliusa” (The Color of Unity), which opened Saturday.
The show was organized by artists Alden Macazar of Silay, Jorge Cape of Talisay, Cresline Corsiga of Bacolod, Pintok Enterprises proprietor Froilan Sagre Jr., and the management of Otsoy’s.
The exhibit aims to promote local talents and boost the tourism industry through visual arts displayed in places like “bistros” in the province of Negros.
Guests of honor were Ian Fred Solas, founder of IF Greenhouse Technologies and Sony Golez, past president of the Art Association of Bacolod- Negros.
The exhibit showcases the works of Alden Macazar, Cresline Corsiga, Jorge Cape, Froilan Sagre Jr., Fred Orig, Noby Juno, Arwin Abindan, Bobbie and Mona Guanzon;
Jay-R Delleva, Archell Belleza, Richard Hulleza, Buddy Maridable, Kon Faustino, Arvin Hervias, Burog Alvarado, J.R. Ledesma, Ramon De los Santos, Francis Fajardo, Steve Maquiling, Darel Javier;
Dynalyn Tan, Joey Gallecanao, Rose Jemino, Juliet Emperado, Rusty Quiatchon, Chrysee Samillano, Jovito “Otay” Hecita, Jan Llegue and JB Maridable.*
