The EB Magalona Police Station in Negros Occidental got a commendation from Napolcom 6 regional director Joseph Celis for the improvements that they have implemented after his recent inspection.
Celis said on his social media post that he noted a marked improvement and positive changes of the appearance of the EB Magalona Police Station headquarters, during his revisit to the police unit on May 29.
The surprise visit of Celis on May 14 to the EB Magalona Police Station led to his discovery of its smelly and dirty premises, and the absence of a desk officer and sentinel.
This led to the relief of P/Lt. John Paul Tabujara as the town police officer-in-charge, who was replaced by Capt. Eric Doronilla. Four of his men were also investigated.
Two weeks after his surprise visit, Celis noted the renovation of the facilities, such as the repair of its roofs, painting of walls and comfort rooms, and planting of vegetables, among others. P/Lt. Abegael Donasco, deputy spokesperson of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, said the renovation of the EB Magalona Police Station, under the leadership of Doronilla, was in compliance with the order of PNP chief, Gen. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar, to implement the intensified cleanliness policy.*
